This is the most important message I’ve heard in awhile.

It’s necessary.

Oh, and p.s.: guess who finished the first draft of her novel this morning?????

I’ll give you three guesses.

92,000 words. Don’t worry–it will be quite some time before I inflict it on you. In the meantime, I’m happy to inflict Tarot for One on you. Coming out in two months! Have you pre-ordered yours, yet?

Lastly, RIP, Mr. Wilder. Thank you for delighting and horrifying me and teaching me that Satan probably works for God through your portrayal of Willy Wonka.

    Loooool. Lol.

Congrats on your finished draft! Hope to be there soon myself. 🙂

Thanks, Mary! I thought I needed to go longer but then I saw the ending and snagged it before it went away. It’s a huge mess and part of me loathes the idea of digging back in and editing it, but I can’t stop thinking about the characters and I really want to give them a chance to look good–if that makes any sense! Good luck with yours, too!

I know the feeling. I have an old novel draft that I had to abandon at the 2/3 mark because the plotline fell apart. Some day I’ll go back to it, because I just can’t bear to leave the two main characters in that sorry state. I imagine them, like, sitting and waiting sadly for a metaphorical bus that is three years delayed.

Shit, now that image is going to follow me all day. THE BUS IS COMING, FRIENDS! Maybe.

Glad you managed to snag your ending!
